Green Contemplation depicts a small cherub figure resting among curling vines and oversized leaves, quietly holding a single calla lily. Surrounded by an environment that seems to be growing and unfolding around them, the cherub appears caught in a private moment of thought.
Within the piece, the calla lily serves as a symbol of creation. Held gently rather than triumphantly, it represents the fragile beginning of an idea, the moment when something imagined has not yet fully entered the world.
The cherub becomes its caretaker.
